GE Lighting and KNWA are proud to support our local classrooms, grades 1-6 in Benton and Washington counties, by sponsoring class projects for this fall. Classrooms will submit their project ideas and timelines online to GE Lighting and KNWA for evaluation. Projects should include how they inspire others to save energy, be sustainable, and/or use science or technology to make our environment a better place. Eight classrooms selected will receive a $500 Walmart/Sam’s Club gift card to fund their project needs. Near the end of the fall 2012 semester, projects will be evaluated and one classroom will receive an additional grand prize. Submit your projects soon!
Grand Prize:
- One class will be awarded a special tour of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art – up to 30 students, their teacher, and 3-6 adult chaperones.(Grades 1-6 are eligible)
- The experience includes lunch, transportation, and a voucher for each child to take home that admits their entire family to the next special exhibition, on a day of their choosing.
- The time of day for the tour will likely be between 11am – 1pm.
